Celebrating Akashvani’s 90 golden years, Akashvani Tezu & Bamboosa Library conduct quiz for college students

Tezu, Sep 30: To mark the 90 golden years of Akashvani, Akashvani Tezu in collaboration with Bamboosa Library, Tezu, and the Forum of Library Activists, Medo, organized a quiz competition for college students of Tezu.

The keenly contested event witnessed spirited participation from teams representing the History, Hindi, and Commerce Departments of Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC), Tezu, along with BEd and BA-BEd batches of Denning College for Teacher Education (DCTE). The quiz highlighted the growth and contribution of All India Radio, which today reaches 99% of India’s population and 92% of its geographical area. It also included segments on books, authors, and the culture of reading that Akashvani has consistently promoted.

The coveted first prize was bagged by the IGGC BCom Team No. 1 comprising Dewaker Upadhyay, Mitesh Agarwal, and Hasina Begum. The second position was shared by three teams: the BA-BEd team of DCTE (Sapna Dutta, Omi Lego, and Sonam Sah), the BEd team of DCTE (Tesali Tayang, Ropmani Pul, and Bunnem Tangha), and IGGC Team No. 2 (Asinla Krong, Neeraj Kumar Ram, and Akash Kumar Ram).

The quiz was conducted by Quiz Master Uncle Moosa and compered by Jeenamsi Ngadong, joint secretary of the Forum of Library Activists. She expressed gratitude to Akashvani Tezu officials for organizing the event for the second consecutive year and congratulated all participating teams for their enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
