Tawang DC interacts with LBSNAA officer trainees on Vibrant Villages internship

TAWANG, Sep 30: Tawang Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo today held an interactive session with 46 officer trainees of the 100th Foundation Course of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), currently undertaking their internship in border villages under the Vibrant Villages Programme.

The trainees, divided into two groups of 23, are visiting Tawang and Jemeithang to gain field exposure in governance and administration of frontier areas. During the session, Assistant Commissioner-cum-DPO Tenzin Jambey gave a presentation highlighting Tawang’s cultural heritage, history, natural resources, and ongoing developmental initiatives.

The interaction featured a lively Q&A, where trainees sought clarifications on issues related to agriculture, governance, administration, and resource management. DC Namgyal Angmo, along with HoDs, shared insights into the challenges and opportunities of administering border districts. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rinchin Leta and other senior officials also joined the programme.

As part of their field study, the trainees will visit Jemeithang and key border locations to interact with local communities and administrative officials. The programme is being coordinated with the support of the 55th and 4th Battalions of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). (DIPRO)
