ITANAGAR, Sep 30: The Tamin Welfare Society (TWS) organised a felicitation-cum-interaction programme in a city hotel here on Tuesday to honour successful candidates of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) 2024-25 from the Tagin community.
Among those felicitated were Riji Dignium Tamin (Circle Officer), Dr Takar Nasi Tamin (AACO), and Kenbom Rina Tamin (ASO), who secured top positions in the prestigious Arunachal Pradesh Civil Services.
The programme began with a welcome address by Pudi Tamin Dasi, followed by a briefing on the aims and objectives of TWS by Adv Tadu Tamin, secretary general. Speakers, including SP Longding Dekio Gumja Tamin, shared personal insights on preparation for the exam, while Kenbom Rina Tamin reflected on her five-year journey since 2020.
Dr Takar Nasi Tamin appealed for the creation of a permanent career counselling cell under TWS to guide future aspirants of the Tagin community. Echoing this, TWS President Er Taanu Tamin assured support for establishing such a cell and urged the younger generation to remain dedicated in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence.
Prominent community leaders, including Dr Daklo Nidak Tamin (former Home Minister), Dr Botom Tamin, and Yania Luwi Tamin (President, Women’s Wing), also graced the occasion. The felicitation programme concluded with cake cutting, informed Dosh Dasi Tamin, TWS secretary (HRD).
