Khonsa, Oct 5: Promoting the spirit of “Vocal for Local,” a young entrepreneur, Khoansen Tangdong, launched her new venture, “Sweet Fairy” Cloud Kitchen, near Pinewood Secondary School, Khonsa, adjacent to the Nocte Women Association’s office.
The Cloud Kitchen was jointly inaugurated by Borduria-Bogapani MLA and Advisor to the Minister of Environment & Forests, Wanglin Lowangdong and Tirap Deputy Commissioner Techu Aran in presence of officials, community leaders, and members of the Nocte Women Association.
DC Techu Aran praised the initiative as a model of self-employment and women empowerment, noting that it has created jobs for four local youths. MLA Lowangdong encouraged the young entrepreneur to expand her business, observing that Khonsa needs more trained bakers and chefs to meet local demand.
Tangdong, a professionally trained pastry chef from Truffle Nation, Delhi, expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and officials who supported her through the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY) 2025, which enabled her to establish the Cloud Kitchen.
The “Sweet Fairy” venture aims to provide high-quality baked and savoury items while inspiring local youth, especially women, to pursue self-reliance and entrepreneurship. (DIPRO)
