Itanagar, Oct 12: The Spearhead Division of Spear Corps, Indian Army conducted a significant military-civil fusion event at the Sigar Military Station with the objective of fostering synergy, understanding, and cooperation between the Indian Army and the civil administration of Arunachal Pradesh.
The interaction was attended by Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, DGP Anand Mohan, Spearhead Division's General Officer Commanding (GOC) Major General Vivek Bankshi, and other dignitaries from various government departments and the Indian Army.
During the deliberations, participants brainstormed on collaborative initiatives in areas such as Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Operations, Integrated Development in Border Areas, Border Tourism, and Socio-Cultural Development. They also discussed enhanced measures for veterans’ welfare, appreciating the ongoing efforts of Spear Corps in supporting ex-servicemen and their families across the state.
A display of advanced military equipment and technologies, including high-end drones, was organised, offering participants a glimpse into the evolving capabilities of the Indian Army under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The demonstration highlighted the Army’s strides in technological innovation and self-reliance.
Civil dignitaries commended the Indian Armed Forces for their steadfast role in ensuring security while simultaneously supporting community development and nation-building initiatives.
The event reinforced the spirit of the “Whole of Nation” approach, underscoring the shared vision of progress, security, and harmony between the civil administration and the Indian Army in Arunachal Pradesh.
