LIKABALI, Oct 16: The Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025, observed from September 17 to October 16, concluded today with a closing ceremony held at the Kangku Secondary School with great enthusiasm and community participation.
The event was graced by Mitti Gongo, Asstt Commissioner Kangku as chief guest, and attended by all HoDs from Likabali. Nodal Officer of the event, Jikom Doye (CDPO) successfully facilitated the programme.
During the ceremony, various resource persons addressed key issues related to nutrition, health, hygiene, and community awareness, highlighting the importance of collective responsibility in achieving the goals of Poshan Maah.
The month-long observance aimed to promote holistic nutrition and health awareness among all sections of society, particularly women and children, through diverse activities and outreach programmes.
The programme concluded with a note of appreciation to all departments, participants, and the local community for their active support in making the Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 a success.
ZIRO: The closing ceremony of the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah was held today at the CDPO Office, Pare Ami under the aegis of ICDS Project Ziro-I.
The month-long celebration aimed to promote holistic nutrition, healthy eating habits, and community participation for a Suposhit Bharat (Well-Nourished India).
Speaking on the occasion, Takhe Rinyo Bullo, CDPO-cum-Incharge Dy Director ICDS Ziro, highlighted the importance of inclusive nutrition awareness, emphasizing that Poshan Maah should include “mothers, daughters, sons, brothers and also all men folks of society” as good health is a shared responsibility.
SDO Rani Perme congratulated the CDPO and all Anganwadi Workers for successfully conducting the Poshan Maah. The chief guest urged parents to avoid giving junk food to children and encouraged the use of locally available fruits and vegetables to prepare nutritious meals, noting that Ziro is blessed with year-round produce unlike many other districts.
DMO Dr Millo Kunya appreciated the idea of departmental convergence and assured full cooperation from the Health Department. She highlighted related initiatives such as Swasth Nari, Shasakt Parivar Abhiyan, Dulari Kanya Scheme, and Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana.
ZPM Diibo Shri Bamin Gumbo and Dy Director Rural Development Nani Taka also addressed the gathering, lauding the efforts of ICDS in spreading nutrition awareness at the grassroots level.
As part of the celebration, prizes were distributed to winners of the Best Poshan Vatika (Nutri Garden) and Best Recipe Competition. The event also featured the “Plant for Mother (Ek Ped Maa ke Naam)” initiative, showcasing community commitment towards nutrition and sustainability. (DIPROs)
