ICR clinches ‘State level Governor’s Quiz Competition’

ITANAGAR, Oct 18: Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) clinched the “State level Governor’s GK Quiz Competition”, which was successfully conducted at Govt Hr Sec School, Naharlagun today, showcasing the intellect of students from across Arunachal Pradesh.

Organized by the Department of Secondary Education, the event aimed to encourage academic excellence and promote a spirit of healthy competition among students. As many as 13 districts participated in the quiz contest, though a few teams could not attend due to technical reasons.

ICR secured the top position, while Tirap won the second spot and West Kameng finished in third position.

Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, Jt Director Secondary Education Tanyang Tatak commended the participants for their enthusiasm and knowledge, noting that such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing critical thinking and awareness among students.

Nodal Officer (Academic), Tanya Kamdak highlighted that the competition reflects the growing academic strength and curiosity of students across the State.

In the meantime, GHSS Naharlagun Principal and event coordinator, Phassang Sama has expressed gratitude to all participating schools and the Education Department for their support. He said that the competition not only tests knowledge but also inspires students to develop a deeper interest in learning and current affairs.
