Bomdila, Oct 23: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), in collaboration with the Department of Labour & Employment and the District Industries Centre (DIC), Bomdila, conducted an awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) — formerly known as the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme — at the conference hall of the Circuit House, Bomdila, today.
The PM-VBRY aims to promote employment generation, enhance employability, and strengthen social security across all sectors, with a special focus on the manufacturing sector. The scheme covers jobs created between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027, offering incentives of up to Rs 15,000 in two instalments to newly employed youth and up to Rs 3,000 per month per new employee to employers for creating job opportunities. Payments under Part A of the scheme will be made to first-time employees through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) via the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS), while payments to employers under Part B will be credited directly to their PAN-linked bank accounts.
S K Jha, Additional Central PF Commissioner, and S K Srivastav, Regional PF Commissioner, delivered detailed presentations on various EPFO schemes.
The programme witnessed the participation of private employers and employees from the district. Among those present were K Thongdok, Labour Officer, Bomdila; Phurpa Tsering, Extension Officer; officials from the District Industries Centre; Niku Killo from the APB&OCWWB, Bomdila; and APCS officer trainees Iter Ngomdir and Toko Tadh.
