Itanagar, Nov 1: The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) – Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Itanagar, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India, successfully concluded the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with a valedictory function held on Saturday.
The event began with a welcome address by Dr Gurucharan Bhuyan, Assistant Director and In-Charge of the Institute. Delivering an insightful lecture, the invited guest Wangngoi Kumhua, Inspector, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Itanagar, highlighted the importance of vigilance, integrity, and ethical conduct in public life.
He emphasized the need for collective responsibility to eradicate corruption and explained the procedures for lodging complaints against corrupt practices. He also elaborated on the role of the Anti-Corruption Bureau in promoting transparency and accountability within the system.
Nazneen, Assistant Research Officer (Botany) and coordinator of the Vigilance Awareness Week, presented a report detailing the weeklong activities, which included essay writing, debate, and quiz competitions designed to engage employees and promote awareness.
Kumhua distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of the competitions, commending their enthusiasm and participation.
In his concluding remarks, Dr Arvind Kumar, Research Officer (Ayurveda), proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, participants, and staff for their support in ensuring the successful observance of Vigilance Awareness Week.
The Institute is also conducting a three-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign from August 18 to November 17, aimed at fostering transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct among employees.
