Have a purpose in life: Hayang Mangfi to students

ITANAGAR, Nov 1: Don Bosco College, Itanagar organized its annual Cultural cum Food Fest as part of Festorama 2025 (College Week), in presence of Hayang Mangfi, Advisor to Minister WRD and Bamang Mangha, former Chairman APSCS & T, Dept of Science & Technology, and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mangfi told the students that just education doesn’t work but quality of education matters. He stressed that the minds of students must be ignited for a better future. He also advised the students to have a purpose in life. He also asked the students to learn something positive from the Salesians of Don Bosco and make Arunachal Pradesh an aspirational State.

Speaking on culture, the advisor said that it cannot be static; we must preserve but also blend for a harmonious existence. He exhorted the students to know, preserve and promote their cultures.

Mangha, in his speech, appreciated the college for the annual celebration and how it will help the students and youth to preserve their culture and education. He also urged the DBC to help in the combat against drug abuse.

DBC Principal Fr Jose George, in his address, apprised the guests about the history and achievements of the college. He also informed the guests about Festorama 2025 and the role played by the students to organize that week-long program.
