JT Tagam re-elected as AEDMA president, Tarh Tadam elected as GS for 2025-28 term

ITANAGAR, Nov 2: Senior journalist JT Tagam has been re-elected as the president of the Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) for the second consecutive term, while Tarh Tadam was elected as the general secretary for the 2025-28 session during AEDMA’s 3rd conference-cum-election held at the Arunachal Press Club (APC) here on Sunday.

For the first time, AEDMA conducted its election through a direct nomination system for the posts of president and general secretary. Out of 28 eligible voters, 21 cast their votes. Tagam secured all 21 votes to retain the president’s post, while Tadam received 15 votes to emerge as the new general secretary.

In his address, Tagam said the new executive team would prioritize the welfare of digital media houses and ensure effective implementation of the unified advertisement policy for print and digital media along with timely conduct of empanelment and issue of advertisements. He also proposed establishing a dedicated AEDMA office to streamline the association’s activities and operations.

Newly-elected GS Tarh Tadam thanked the members for their trust and support, pledging to work diligently to uphold the interests and aspirations of AEDMA members.

The election proceedings were chaired by Techi Tat and coordinated by Yasum Sonam.

Later, president Tagam announced the appointment of Shambo Flago and Takam Sonia as advisors, Theim Maureen Lhouvum and Victor Rabha as vice presidents (West and East Zones), and Yasum Sonam as assistant general secretary.

The conference concluded with the felicitation and certificate presentation to the newly elected office bearers.
