Itanagar, Nov 3: The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, GoAP, successfully conducted an awareness outreach programme and ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) ID creation drive at Akashdeep shopping complex here on Saturday last.
The initiative, part of the Government of India’s flagship digital health mission, aims to create a robust digital health ecosystem connecting citizens, healthcare professionals, and health facilities through technology. The ABHA ID allows individuals to securely access, manage, and share their health records digitally, ensuring seamless and efficient healthcare delivery across the country.
The programme was organized under the direction of Anu Singh, ICLS, State Mission Director (SMD), ABDM, and guidance of Dr Dusu Gambo, State Nodal Officer (SNO), ABDM.
The outreach sought to educate citizens about the benefits of digital health and the use of the ABHA mobile application, including the Scan & Share feature for quick OPD registration and easy access to medical records.
Students from the Department of Social Work, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) presented an engaging skit on digital health and ABHA ID creation, drawing enthusiastic participation from the public.
During the drive, the ABDM PMU team conducted on-the-spot ABHA ID creation for citizens and market vendors, demonstrating how digital tools can simplify access to healthcare services.
The event was led by Jayanta Hazarika, Programme Manager (Capacity Building), ABDM, and Hillo Kena, IEC Manager, ABDM, who coordinated field activities with the PMU team and RGU students.
