YUPIA, Nov 7: A preparatory meeting of Nodal Officers, Returning Officers, and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here today.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (PR) Vishakha Yadav, who called upon all officers to work in close coordination and with a sense of shared responsibility to ensure the peaceful, free, and fair conduct of elections across the district.
In her address, Yadav underscored the importance of teamwork, timely communication, and strict adherence to election guidelines, noting that the successful completion of the electoral process depends on the collective sincerity and diligence of every officer involved. She also interacted with the Nodal Officers, seeking detailed inputs on their preparedness, challenges, and logistical requirements to facilitate smooth execution at all levels.
During the session, AC (PR) Dr Dana Unna made a detailed presentation outlining the roles and responsibilities of the Nodal Officers, while emphasizing the need for efficiency, transparency, and commitment throughout the election process.
Following the meeting with Nodal Officers, a separate session was convened for the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers to deliberate on key operational and procedural aspects related to the upcoming elections.
The preparatory meeting served as an important platform to streamline coordination among various stakeholders and to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the PR polls in the district.
