Siang DC visits ITI Pangin, interacts with newly enrolled trainees

PANGIN, Nov 7: Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, along with Ruzing Bellai, Chief Operating Officer (Rural Skills) under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), visited the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Pangin today and interacted with the newly enrolled trainees.

Addressing the trainees, the DC underscored the importance of skill development as a vital tool for empowerment and value addition, urging them to make the best use of the training opportunity to equip themselves with practical and employable skills. He said that such initiatives play a crucial role in improving livelihoods and advancing the national vision of a self-reliant and skilled India.

In-charge Principal Niyang Pertin expressed pride that ITI Pangin has become fully operational, terming it a significant milestone for the district. She expressed confidence that the institute will soon evolve into a centre of excellence for vocational training in the region.

The ITI currently offers three trades — Digital Photography, Solar Technician, and Catering & Hospitality Assistant — aimed at creating a pool of skilled youth ready to meet the growing demands of the job market.
