Lower Siang reviews progress of ALBR

LIKABALI, Nov 7: With several challenges facing the district administration vis-à-vis the ongoing works of Akajan-Likabali-Bame road (ALBR), Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner today convened a meeting here today took a review of maintenance works on the ALBR.

The review meeting involving the heads of departments and executive bodies of the district took stock of the progress of maintenance works being undertaken by the agencies on Akajan-Likabali-Bame road, amidst threats of launch of democratic movement by the youth and students’ union.

The meeting chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Mokar Riba delved into the details of the facts compelling progress of pending works, which eventually led to the crippling of traffic movement in the recent months to many upward districts of the State commuting through the ALBR for a long period of time.

On the occasion, the DGM NHIDCL Basar, representatives of the BRTF, District Unit GWS president, public leaders, GYO president, and students’ union attended the meeting, besides the concerned HoDs and shared information, “issues” and their solutions in a healthy ambience. (DIPRO)
