Efforts on to enhance healthcare delivery and immunization outcomes in L/Siang

LIKABALI, Nov 7: The District Health Society Governing Body (DHS GB) cum District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) meeting was convened here in Lower Siang district today under the chairpersonship of Kartu Bam, Assistant Commissioner (HQs).

The meeting was attended by Lower Siang DMO Dr Nyage Geyi, DRCHO, DSO, DVBDCP officer, BDO, all MO ICs, DPMSU, and representatives from various vertical health programs.

The session witnessed detailed deliberations on the performance and “challenges” of the district’s health programs, with a major focus on routine immunization activities. The team reviewed the district’s immunization coverage, identifying left-out and dropout children, and discussed measures to strengthen micro planning, ensure timely RI sessions, and resolve supply chain issues.

Additionally, updates were provided on key health initiatives including NTEP, Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), and ABHA.

The DSO (NCD) also presented the ongoing and planned activities under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD), including efforts under the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP).

The meeting concluded with a call for enhanced coordination among all health program officers and stakeholders to further improve healthcare delivery and immunization outcomes in the district. (DIPRO)
