63rd Walong Day commemoration marked by community medical and dental camp

WALONG, Nov 8: As part of the 63rd Walong Day observance, a comprehensive medical and dental camp was organized at Government Secondary School, Walong, to commemorate the historic 1962 Battle of Walong. The welfare initiative aimed at extending essential healthcare services to the local populace in this remote region.

The healthcare outreach program witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local residents, with medical and dental professionals working together to ensure effective service delivery. A total of 124 beneficiaries availed healthcare facilities during the camp.

The medical team provided general consultations and treatment to 87 individuals, including 33 women and 28 children. Simultaneously, the dental section treated 37 patients, addressing various oral health concerns.

The event was conducted in an organized and efficient manner, with active cooperation from the local community. The initiative earned widespread appreciation, reflecting a strong commitment to improving the health and welfare of the people of Walong.
