Military Hospital Tezu conducts Casualty Management Drill under Blackout

Tezu, Nov 8: To enhance its preparedness for dynamic operational scenarios, the Military Hospital at Tezu successfully conducted a comprehensive Casualty Management Drill under Blackout conditions. The exercise was specifically designed to simulate a real-life situations where medical teams are required to operate in challenging, low-visibility environments.

The primary objective of the drill was to assess the hospital’s efficiency, coordination, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) during emergencies. Under simulated combat stress and complete darkness, medical and support personnel practiced the entire chain of casualty management — from evacuation to advanced treatment.

Key components of the exercise included the rapid and safe carriage of simulated casualties from the incident site, the provision of immediate, life-saving field interventions and the subsequent seamless evacuation to the main hospital facility. The focus remained squarely on minimizing the time gap between injury and definitive medical care.

The exercise successfully demonstrated the readiness and professionalism of the Military Hospital Tezu in responding effectively to emergencies under adverse conditions.
