EK Observer stresses for strict compliance with election guidelines

SEPPA, Nov 21: With the Panchayat Election 2025 coming up next month, a coordination meeting on the preparedness for the forthcoming election was convened today at the District Secretariat, Seppa.

The meeting was chaired by Rajesh Kumar, election observer for East Kameng district, in presence of Yashaswini B, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (PR) East Kameng, and Kamdam Sikom, Superintendent of Police, Seppa.

The session focused on key components essential for smooth, transparent, and efficient conduct of the election. Detailed deliberations were held on the preparation of the District Election Management Plan (DEMP), adherence to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), evaluation of the election roadmap, and insights drawn from experiences and execution of previous PR elections.

The Observer underscored the importance of timely planning, inter-departmental coordination, and strict compliance with election guidelines.

The DEO (PR) highlighted district level strategies and ongoing preparatory activities, while the SP briefed the gathering on law & order arrangements and security deployment.

The meeting was attended by ADC-cum-Returning Officers, AC/CO-cum-Assistant Returning Officers, Dy SP Seppa, and other senior officers from the Police department.

The participants shared updates from their respective jurisdictions and assured full readiness to ensure the successful conduct of the upcoming PR election.

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring a free, fair and peaceful election process across East Kameng district. (DIPRO)
