Papum Pare ‘well-prepared’ for disciplined, free & fair conduct of Panchayat polls 2025

Yupia, Dec 2: In preparation for the smooth and efficient conduct of the Panchayat election 2025, a series of training programmes for presiding officers, polling personnel and counting teams has been successfully conducted across Papum Pare district.

The district-level training was held under the overall supervision of Assistant Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer (Training) Dani Rikang, with support from master trainers BK Pandey and Dr Manoj Biswakarma. The sessions were carried out in a phased manner across various administrative jurisdictions to ensure complete coverage of all election personnel.

The first phase of training was conducted on November 27 at the Conference Hall of ADC Office, Kimin, under the supervision of Kimin ADC-cum-Returning Officer Ocean Gao. This was followed by the second session at the Conference Hall of ADC Office, Balijan on November 28, led by ADC-cum-RO Takar Rava.

The third phase was held on November 29 at the Sagalee Govt Higher Secondary School auditorium, conducted under the guidance of ADC-cum-RO Higio Yame. The final phase of the district-wide training programme was organised today at Hakum Happa Hall, Yupia, for teams representing the jurisdictions of Returning Officers, Batt Ganga, Borum and Doimukh.

The training modules included step-by-step briefings, live demonstrations, mock sessions, and hands-on exercises to ensure all election teams are well acquainted with procedural protocols and operational responsibilities. The sessions focused on strengthening preparedness for conducting a free, fair, inclusive, and transparent electoral process.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Vishakha Yadav emphasised that such capacity-building initiatives are vital for maintaining the integrity of the democratic process and ensure efficient management during polling and counting.

With the completion of the comprehensive training programme, Papum Pare district is now well-prepared for the disciplined, free and fair conduct of the Panchayat Election 2025. (DIPRO)
