Ziro, Feb 7: Lower Subansiri Zilla Parishad Chairperson Hibu Dumi on Friday chaired the first interactive-cum-coordination meeting with Zilla Parishad Members (ZPMs) and Heads of Departments (HoDs) at the District Secretariat here.
In her address, the ZPC said the meeting was aimed at fostering mutual understanding and strengthening coordination between elected representatives and line departments to ensure inclusive development and overall progress of the district.
She urged all HoDs to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection of beneficiaries under various government schemes, including Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana and Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana, and cautioned against selecting multiple beneficiaries from the same family. She stressed that benefits should reach genuine farmers and deserving sections of society.
The ZPC expressed confidence that the newly elected team is enthusiastic and performance-oriented, and assured that the Zilla Parishad is committed to delivering tangible results during its five-year tenure.
Lempia ZPM Rubu Tadii raised concerns over high fees charged by private agencies for digital signatures for PRI members and sought subsidised services.
Senior ZPM (Hari) Hage Dolo shared experiences from his previous tenure, highlighting best practices under the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Nikshay Mitra programme. He stressed the need for proper monitoring at the Gram level for timely execution of projects.
Akhangmiyo ZPM Hibu Obing requested HoDs to keep ZPMs informed in advance about developmental schemes to ensure smooth implementation.
Departmental heads briefed the members on flagship schemes, GST compliance, preparations for the 2027 Population Census, and district planning processes, and sought cooperation from PRI members for effective implementation of developmental programmes.
