Naharlagun, Feb 12: Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti (ASVS), functioning under Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan and guided by Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra, has launched a three-day school inspection programme titled Utkarsh Mahotsav from February 12 to 14 across its institutions in Arunachal Pradesh.
Dedicated to providing holistic and value-based education, particularly to students from socially and economically weaker sections, ASVS is currently running 27 institutions across around 12 district headquarters in the state. These include Vidya Niketans, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in Siang and East Siang districts, and Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), Khela.
The inspection programme is being conducted in a unique “festival mode” atmosphere aimed at strengthening academic standards, administrative efficiency, and overall institutional development. A specially constituted five-member team is visiting the schools as part of this initiative. The team comprises representatives from the School Management Committee (SMC), a principal, an alumni member, a senior teacher, and an educationalist to ensure transparency, academic insight, and collective responsibility in the evaluation process.
As envisioned under Utkarsh Mahotsav 2026, the inspection focuses on systematic assessment and qualitative enhancement of institutions. A comprehensive questionnaire carrying 400 marks has been designed to evaluate seven major departments of the school campus. The assessment covers academic standards, teaching-learning processes, administration, infrastructure, student performance, co-curricular activities, and overall institutional management.
The self-inspection model encourages schools to identify their strengths, address gaps, and strive for continuous improvement while fostering a healthy spirit of excellence. The initiative is expected to enhance teachers’ professional competence, improve learning outcomes, and create a sustainable roadmap for institutional growth in line with the objectives of Vidya Bharati.
Through this structured and innovative approach, ASVS aims to further strengthen the network of Vidya Bharati institutions in Arunachal Pradesh and contribute meaningfully to nation-building through quality, value-oriented education.
