Dy CM dedicates Botanical Garden to Namsai district

NAMSAI, Feb 13: In a significant development towards making ‘greener Arunachal Pradesh’, Noi Chenam, Tengapani in Namsai district has been studded with a Botanical Garden, as Deputy Chief Minister Dr Chowna Mein inaugurated the project today.

The Dy CM made the inauguration, in presence of local MLA cum-Advisor to Minister RWD & SYA Zingnu Namchoom, DC Namsai C R Khampa, SP Namsai Sangey Thinley, ADC Chongkham K Tikhak, ZPC Chow Sujana Namchoom, ZPM Chongkham, HoDs and officials.

This Botanical Garden includes thematic plant sections, indigenous and rare species zones, medicinal plant areas, walking trails, interpretation and learning spaces, nursery facilities for conservation, and a Cafeteria for visitors. The garden will serve not only as a centre for conservation and research but also as a space for learning, awareness, and community engagement.

Meanwhile, the Dy CM, taking to his social media platform, said: “It was a moment of commitment towards conservation of our environment as I inaugurated the Botanical Garden at Noi Chenam Tengapani in Namsai today in presence of HMLA Namsai, Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Deputy Commissioner Shri C.R. Khampa and others.

This botanical garden stands as a symbol of our dedication to conserving biodiversity, promoting ecological awareness, and nurturing a greener Arunachal Pradesh. Our state is blessed with immense natural wealth, and initiatives like this ensure that we preserve it responsibly for future generations.”
