AFTF reiterates demands

ITANAGAR, Feb 18: Arunachal Frontier Tribal Front (AFTF) chairman Tadak Nalo has expressed dismay that the state government is yet to fulfill their demands regarding the Arunachal Pradesh Public service commission (APPSC) paper leakage issue.

“On this day, three years ago, Chief Minister Pema Khandu had personally assured the public that the government will fulfill our demands. But it has been three years since the case was endorsed to the CBI, ED, and court-monitored probe. There has been no concrete development on the outcome of the investigation by the ED, nor has there been an update on the progress made on the demands so far,” Nalo said during a press conference at the Arunachal Press Club here today.

The APTF has also demanded scrapping of 80:20 recruitment ratio and to make ST/PRC mandatory in competitive examinations conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) and Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB).

The AFTF chief informed that an awareness-cum-signature campaign would be launched soon to push for the demands in various institutions of the state.
