West Kameng DC reviews essential services during visit to border villages

Kamengbari, Feb 22: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar conducted a field visit to the border villages of Kamengbari and Doimara to assess ground realities and review the status of essential services and basic amenities in the region.

The DC was accompanied by the ADC, Singchung; ASP, Bhalukpong; Heads of Offices from the Power, Forest, and Public Health Engineering Departments; and SDO, BSNL.

During the visit, he inspected the Police Station at Kamengbari and the proposed Circle Office building at Doimara, emphasizing the need to strengthen administrative presence and public service delivery in the border region.

The DC also interacted with Gaon Burahs, Gram Panchayat Members, and local residents to take stock of key issues, including electricity, drinking water supply, telecommunications, road connectivity, public safety, and human-animal conflict.

Further, he assured the villagers that the district administration would take up all genuine concerns with the appropriate authorities for early resolution, reaffirming its commitment to improving quality of life in the remote areas of the district. (DIPRO)
