Itanagar, Feb 26: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Thursday inaugurated an 84-metre steel truss permanent bridge over river Kamala Kumei between Jha and Ruhi villages, along with a multipurpose indoor stadium at Tali, on the auspicious occasion of Nyokum Yullo.
The newly constructed bridge will provide stable, all-weather connectivity between the two villages, significantly improving daily movement for residents and facilitating local economic and social activities.
The multipurpose indoor stadium at Tali is expected to serve as a dedicated venue for sports and community events, offering greater opportunities for youth to participate in physical activities and organised programmes throughout the year.
Stating that both projects reflect the government’s continued focus on strengthening basic infrastructure in remote and border areas, Mein said such initiatives aim to enhance connectivity, improve public facilities, and uplift the quality of life for local communities.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the status of various ongoing development works under the Tali administrative division during an interaction with ADC Tali Dr Marchina Boria and other government officers and staff. He emphasized the importance of timely execution, quality implementation, and transparency in carrying out developmental projects.
Mein also urged officials to uphold the people-centric agenda of the government with dedication and commitment, ensuring that welfare schemes and development initiatives reach every household.
