Itanagar, Feb 27: Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district has achieved a proud milestone as Chochi Meyor of Kaho village was conferred the prestigious Innovative Farmer Award on Friday by the ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi.
The award recognizes her untiring dedication, hard work, and remarkable contributions in the field of agriculture and allied activities. As part of the honour, she received a certificate of recognition and a memento.
Chochi Meyor has consistently demonstrated innovation and commitment by adopting improved agricultural practices, crop diversification, and integrated farming approaches suited to the challenging terrain of Anjaw district. Through perseverance and a willingness to embrace scientific methods, she has enhanced farm productivity and income while inspiring fellow farmers in the district, stated the Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Anjaw.
Her achievements were made possible through continuous technical guidance and support from ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Anjaw, which provided training, advisory services, and regular field-level handholding to help her successfully implement improved technologies in crop production and allied enterprises.
The award not only recognizes her individual excellence but also highlights the growing impact of scientific agricultural interventions in remote border districts like Anjaw. The district administration and farming community have congratulated Chochi Meyor for bringing national recognition to the district and serving as a role model for rural youth and women farmers.
