APLS holds 149th monthly literary sitting in Itanagar

ITANAGAR, Mar 8: The 149th uninterrupted monthly literary sitting of the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) was held at its office premises in Itanagar on Sunday.

The session, which has been conducted regularly since 2008, was presided over by APLS president Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi.

During the sitting, Mukul Pathak recited two of his poems titled “The Beard” and “Against the Taj Mahal.” Another participant, Takhe Yasa, presented her poem “Story Telling to Nake.” Participant Takhe Yebyang also recited two poems during the literary gathering, while R N Koley read out an article from his book “Understanding the Adis”.

The Society informed that the next monthly literary sitting will be held on April 12, the second Sunday of the month. The upcoming session will be a special one, as APLS plans to celebrate its 150th monthly literary sitting by inviting a few writers from outside the state.
