HPV vaccination begins at ZGH, Bomdila

BOMDILA, Mar 12: The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination program commenced today at Zonal General Hospital (ZGH), Bomdila, with West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar launching it.

The event was held in presence of the District Medical Officer (DMO), Medical Superintendent, Senior Specialists, doctors, DPMU staff, development partners, and all staff of ZGH, Bomdila.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer and encouraged all stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the program in the district.

Further, the vaccination will be carried out on a daily basis in all health facilities and the general public are requested to get their girl children who have completed 14 years of age but not completed 15th birthday to get vaccinated at the nearest health facility with the Aadhaar card. (DIPR)
