Three-day training under Census 2027 for EK & PK officials begins

SEPPA, Mar 16: A three-day training programme on house listing and housing census (Phase-I) for Census 2027 commenced today at the Abo Tani conference hall, District Secretariat here for the newly appointed Technical Assistants (TAs) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) of East Kameng and Pakke Kessang districts.

The programme aims to equip the newly appointed staff with the necessary knowledge and skills for the effective conduct of the house listing and housing census (Phase-I) in the two districts.

East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Yashaswini B welcomed the newly appointed officials and highlighted the significance of Census 2027 as an important national exercise that provides crucial data for planning and development. She encouraged the TAs and MTS’ to perform their duties with dedication, sincerity, and accuracy to ensure successful implementation of the census process.

The training focused on the roles and responsibilities of Census Charge Clerk under Charge Census Officer, TAs and MTS’, operational procedures for house listing and housing census, and the use of new digital applications for mapping housing structures under Census 2027.

Participants were also oriented on field procedures and data collection methods to ensure efficient and accurate census operations. (DIPRO)
