Four Dialysis machines inaugurated at RK Mission Hospital

Itanagar, Mar 18: Four new dialysis machines were inaugurated at the Dialysis Department of Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH) here on Tuesday, significantly enhancing renal care facilities in the state.

The machines have been procured under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of The New India Assurance Company Limited, Mumbai.

The inaugural programme was attended by Nyamen Jini, representative of the company, and Dr P D Thongchi, Deputy Director-cum-State TB Officer, Swami Vedasarananda, Secretary, RKMH, along with monastic members, doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff of the hospital.

The event commenced with a welcome and felicitation of the guests, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Addressing the gathering, Dr Tojum Pakam, ICU In-charge, highlighted the importance of the new machines in strengthening patient care and expanding dialysis services.

Dr Thongchi lauded the initiative and appreciated the CSR collaboration between the two organisations, stating that it would greatly benefit patients across the state. Nyamen Jini reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting healthcare initiatives through its CSR activities.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Talar Motu, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, who expressed gratitude to the company and all attendees. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem, followed by distribution of refreshments among attendees and patients.
