Itanagar, Mar 20: In a moment of pride for Arunachal Pradesh, Namsai district has secured the top rank in the “Financial Inclusion & Skill Development” sector under the Aspirational Districts Programme of NITI Aayog.
In recognition of this outstanding achievement, the district has been awarded an incentive grant of Rs 3 crore. The accolade highlights the consistent and tireless efforts of the district administration, departmental officials, grassroots functionaries, and the active participation of the people of Namsai.
In a social media post, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said, “This milestone reflects the tireless efforts of the administration, departmental officers, grassroots workers, and the resilient people of Namsai. Let us continue striving for excellence and transforming lives across every corner of our beautiful State.”
The Aspirational Districts Programme, launched by the Government of India, aims to transform underdeveloped districts through targeted interventions in key sectors such as health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and financial inclusion.
Officials stated that the achievement reflects the district’s focused approach towards improving access to financial services and enhancing skill development opportunities, thereby empowering local communities and promoting inclusive growth.
The milestone is expected to further motivate stakeholders to sustain the momentum and work collectively towards holistic development across Arunachal Pradesh.
