BOLENG, Mar 24: A meeting was convened today at Boleng under the chairmanship of Hento Karga, member of the Arunachal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission (APARC), in presence of Tayi Taggu, Deputy Commissioner Siang.
Attended by all HoDs and PRI members of Siang district, the meeting served as an important platform for deliberations on administrative challenges, governance issues, and measures to enhance service delivery in the district.
Karga interacted with the participants and emphasized the importance of responsive, transparent, and accountable governance. He assured that the inputs, particularly regarding manpower constraints, would be duly examined by the Commission for appropriate recommendations.
The DC highlighted key district-level challenges and reiterated the administration’s commitment to improving public service delivery and strengthening institutional mechanisms.
During the meeting, various issues concerning the functioning of departments, coordination among stakeholders, and strengthening grassroots governance were discussed in detail.
A key concern highlighted by multiple departments was the acute shortage of manpower in Siang district, which has been impacting effective implementation of government programmes and delivery of public services. Participants emphasized the need for timely deployment of adequate staff and strengthening of field-level functionaries.
Valuable suggestions and feedback were put forward by the HoDs and PRI members to improve efficiency, address local concerns, and ensure better implementation of government schemes.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to work collaboratively towards effective governance and holistic development of Siang district. (DIPRO)
