ITANAGAR, Mar 25: A two-day training programme on Modern Survey Technologies, Digital Data Management, and Land Administration System, sponsored by the Department of Land Management (GoAP), got underway at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Naharlagun near here today.
The two-day training programme aims to enhance the technical capacity of both ministerial and field stuff in overviewing and live demonstration of the e-Itaboomi portal, introduction to modern land survey techniques, application of RTK drone in land survey, online data management and digital recording organization, overview of land administration system in ICC and session on LISA Portal and practical demonstration by NIC.
A key highlight of the programme was the launch of the e-Itabhoomi Portal by Toko Babu, Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Region. The portal is expected to significantly improve transparency, accessibility, facilitate easy retrieval of land records, improve efficiency in service delivery and support integration with digital systems such as LISA and GIS-based mapping.
During the sessions, the resource persons like Khoda Lasa, Assistant Commissioner ICC, Bidyutjyoti Baruah from Department of Geography Gauhati University and State Informatics Officer (SIO), NIC emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies such as GIS-based mapping, digital cadastral surveys, and integrated data systems to ensure accuracy and accountability in land administration.
The programme, attended by officials from the DC office ICR, AC Itanagar and Naharlagun, CO Banderdeva and Sub-Registrar officer Itanagar, concluded with a call for continued capacity building and technological integration to strengthen land governance and service delivery in the State. (DIPRO)
