NABARD unveils State Focus Paper 2026-27 for Arunachal

Itanagar, Mar 30: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) on Monday released the State Focus Paper for 2026-27 for Arunachal Pradesh, outlining the state’s credit potential and key developmental priorities for the upcoming financial year.

The document was formally unveiled by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta during a ceremony held at the Civil Secretariat in Itanagar. The event was attended by Commissioner (Finance) Y W Ringu, General Manager and Officer-in-Charge of NABARD’s Arunachal Pradesh Regional Office S V Ranga Rao, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Deputy General Manager Ramjatan Kumar Paswan, NABARD DGM Vivek Anand, along with officials from the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) and other stakeholders.

The State Focus Paper provides detailed estimates of credit potential across priority sectors such as agriculture and allied activities, MSMEs, rural infrastructure, and livelihood promotion. It emphasizes the need for systematic investment, financial inclusion and collaborative efforts among stakeholders to accelerate inclusive growth in the State.

According to the document, the total priority sector credit potential for Arunachal Pradesh for FY 2026-27 has been projected at Rs 3,723.49 crore. This includes Rs 1,071.17 crore for agriculture and allied activities, Rs 2,519.42 crore for the MSME sector, and Rs 132.90 crore for other priority sectors such as housing, education, renewable energy, SHGs/JLGs, and social infrastructure.

The State Focus Paper serves as a crucial reference document for banks and financial institutions in planning and scaling up credit flow to key sectors, aligning with the state’s developmental goals.
