Series of events held in schools across ICC to mark 150 years of Vande Mataram

ITANAGAR, Mar 30: Joining the nationwide observance of the 150 years of the National Song Vande Mataram and as initiated by the National Implementation Committee (NIC), the commemoration programme was conducted across schools in the Itanagar Capital Complex on Monday.

Under the guidance of ICC Deputy Commissioner Toko Babu, and under the supervision of Tem Kaya (DACO Capital) and Tori Gadi (APO), a series of programmes were held to mark the occasion.

In this line, a programme was organized at the Govt Sec School, G-Sector, Naharlagun, where students participated in the rendition of the National Song along with activities such as essay writing and extempore speech competitions. Similar commemorative events were also held at PM Shri Govt Hr Sec School, Arunodaya, Itanagar, and Govt Sec School, Pachin, Naharlagun, on the same day.

The commemoration aimed to honour the contribution of the bravehearts of India’s freedom struggle and to promote awareness about the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers, contributing to the success of the event. (DIPRO)
