KHONSA, Apr 2: In a significant administrative development, Ponung Tasing, newly inducted APCS officer, has joined as the District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) at Khonsa, Tirap district, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
She submitted her joining report to Deputy Commissioner Techu Aran in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Namneet Singh.
Notably, Tirap district has received a designated DIPRO after a gap of nearly a decade. The last designated DIPRO in the district was Denhang Bosai, who was promoted to Deputy Director (IPR) and transferred to the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Naharlagun, in 2016.
The posting is expected to strengthen information dissemination and public outreach activities in the district.
