DC’s conference in Tawang from Apr 8-12, Namgyal reviews preps

TAWANG, Apr 2: With a view to make the forthcoming DC’s conference at Tawang a grand success, a review-cum-coordination meeting, involving all departments, the Indian Army, paramilitary forces, and Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, was convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s office conference hall here this afternoon.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo highlighted that preparations are underway for the upcoming mega conference scheduled to be held from April 8 to 12 in Tawang. She emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts and active cooperation from all departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of the event.

A detailed review of progress was undertaken, with the DC seeking updates from all concerned officers regarding their assigned responsibilities. She urged officials to complete tasks well in advance and avoid last-minute inconveniences.

Stress was also laid on maintaining environmental sustainability during all events, with a call to minimize the use of plastic across the district.

Moreover, the DC directed that no construction materials should be left unattended in public areas, ensuring smooth traffic movement throughout Tawang.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to work in close coordination for the successful conduct of the upcoming conference.

Assistant Commissioner-cum-DPO Sangey Wangmu Mosobi also spoke.

Among others, Tirap ZPC Leki Gombu, ZPMs Tenzin Monpa and Sonam Norzin, Superintendent of Police Tawang Tasi Darang, ADC Jang Hakraso Kri, representatives from the Army, Bazaar Secretaries, and HoOs from various departments. (DIPRO)
