Teacher Binku Nijum Tamin passes away at 48, condolences pour in

DAPORIJO, Apr 3: Binku Nijum Tamin, a dedicated teacher and respected social worker, passed away on Thursday at his residence in Abotani Colony, Daporijo, following a cardiac arrest. He was 48.

Born on January 1, 1978, to Pakbin Nijum Tamin and late Dubi Nijum Tamin, he completed his schooling from Government Higher Secondary School, Daporijo, and later graduated in Science from Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat.

He served in the Department of Education as a Primary Teacher (PRT) and was posted at Government Upper Primary School, Menga, Upper Subansiri district. Known for his sincerity, honesty, and dedication, he earned respect within the teaching fraternity and the community.

Apart from his professional contributions, he was actively involved in social service and was admired for his calm and compassionate nature.

He is survived by his wife, Koyal Nijum Tamin, two sons, and four daughters.

Deputy Director of School Education P K Lombi, along with officials and members of the teaching fraternity, visited the bereaved family and expressed condolences.

Several organisations, including the Arunachal Teachers Association, Tamin Teachers Association, Tamin Welfare Society and its Women Wing, and the Alumni Association of Government Higher Secondary School, Daporijo, also mourned the death and paid tribute to the departed soul.

Public figures including Yaro Nayam (Corporator from Ward No. 3, Itanagar) and retired DySP Gopal Tamin also visited the family to offer their condolences.

In their messages, members of the community prayed to Almighty Ane Donyi for strength, courage and solace for the bereaved family and for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
