Census 2027: Three-day field trainers’ training for Lohit & Namsai begins

TEZU, Apr 6: A three-day field trainers training programme for Census 2027 (Phase I) on House Listing and Housing Census commenced at the DC’s office conference hall here today, with active participation from officials of Lohit and Namsai districts.

The programme aims to equip field trainers with necessary guidelines and skills to effectively train and support field-level supervisors and enumerators during the upcoming House Listing Operation (HLO).

Speaking on the occasion, SDO-cum-District Census Officer S Bellai highlighted the critical role of field trainers in ensuring smooth and successful conduct of Census 2027. He emphasized that the accuracy and reliability of census data largely depend on the preparedness of trainers, and urged participants to actively engage in the sessions and gain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the training.

The programme was attended by ADC-cum-Sub-Divisional Census Officer (Tezu), A J Lungphi, ADE-cum-Additional District Census Officer Dipok Taki, T Gambo of Lohit and Namsai districts, along with DCO trainers A Kr Paul, SI Gr-II, among others.

The training sessions were conducted by master trainers - Dr Brajen Das (Associate Professor, Indira Gandhi Govt College, Tezu), and Dr Katet Pertin (Assistant Professor, Jomin Tayeng Govt Model Degree College, Roing). They provided comprehensive guidelines along with practical insights to the participants, enabling them to effectively understand their roles and responsibilities in the conduct of the House Listing Operation.

The programme will continue over the next two days, focusing on strengthening field-level preparedness and ensuring accurate and efficient data collection for Census 2027. (DIPRO)
