Fuel supply normal across Arunachal, Govt warns against hoarding

Itanagar, Apr 7: The Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has assured that the availability and supply of petroleum products, including Motor Spirit (MS), High-Speed Diesel (HSD), and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), remain normal across the state.

The assurance came during a State-level review meeting held on Monday, chaired by Minister for Food & Civil Supplies Gabriel D Wangsu and co-chaired by Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta. The meeting reviewed the stock position and supply chain of petroleum products across all districts.

The Minister stressed the importance of equitable distribution and directed all stakeholders to maintain close coordination to resolve any localized supply concerns. He also warned of strict action against individuals or agencies involved in black marketing or hoarding of LPG and petroleum products, under provisions of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to maintaining uninterrupted supply, the Chief Secretary assured that administrative machinery across districts is fully prepared to address any emerging issues promptly.

Food & Civil Supplies Secretary Kanto Danggen briefed that the current stock position is adequate and that supply and distribution systems are functioning smoothly without any disruption.

The State Level Coordinator of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) also confirmed that petroleum product availability is sufficient to meet demand in the foreseeable future, with no reported bottlenecks in transportation or distribution.

The government further appealed to the public to avoid panic buying and refrain from spreading rumours, urging citizens to rely only on verified information and act responsibly.
