24 CWSN registered for disability certificates issuance & UDID enrolment

PASIGHAT, Apr 16: A Medical Camp for the issuance of Disability Certificates and enrolment under the Unique Disability ID (UDID) scheme was successfully organized today by H-Spring Foundation in collaboration with the District Administration, East Siang at the premises of H-Spring Foundation (H-Spring Integrated School).

The initiative aimed to facilitate Children with special needs (CWSN) in obtaining official disability certification and enrolling in the UDID system, which provides a standardized and nationally recognized identity for accessing various government benefits and services.

The Medical Board comprising specialists chaired by Dr Nyaru Kadu (MD Medicine), and Dr Utoo Perme (ENT Specialist), Dr Yabom Jamoh (Pediatrician), Dr Ponung Perme (Ophthalmologist), Kenyam Pertin (Clinical Psychologist), as member and Amen Pangu, Consultant UDID cum DDEO, IDSP took part in the registration of UDID.

During the event, Bandhana Deori, IRS (Rtd), was also present as a special guest.

The board conducted comprehensive medical examinations in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Government of India. Individuals with different categories of disabilities attended the programme and were assessed accordingly. Children were benefitted from the Medical Boards. Many parents brought their children with special needs for assessment from various districts such as East Siang, Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Lower Siang and Upper Siang.

A total of 24 children with special needs were registered for issuance of Disability Certificates and UDID enrolment. (DIPRO)
