ANINI, Apr 20: As part of preparations for Census 2027, a three-day training programme for Supervisors, Enumerators, and Field Trainers of Dibang Valley district commenced today at the Conference Hall of Circuit House, Anini. The programme marks the beginning of a crucial administrative exercise that forms the backbone of evidence-based governance and inclusive development.

Addressing the participants, he extended his best wishes and highlighted the significance of the census as not merely a statistical exercise, but a vital reflection of the nation’s evolving socio-economic landscape. He emphasised that every data point collected plays a key role in shaping policies, guiding development initiatives, and ensuring that no community remains overlooked.

Encouraging the trainees to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication, he urged them to actively engage in the sessions and learn thoroughly from the Master Trainers. He stressed that accuracy, commitment, and a strong sense of service would be essential for the successful conduct of census operations.

The programme is being observed by Tadang Rai, Additional District Census Officer, and Shushanta Sharma, Statistical Investigator and Coordinator for Dibang Valley and Lower Dibang Valley, who are providing guidance and support throughout the training.

During the three-day programme, participants will be equipped with essential technical knowledge and field-level skills to effectively perform their roles.
