Deomali, Apr 22: In a significant step towards supporting the national TB eradication effort, the Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Narattam Nagar, Revered Swami Achynteshnandji Maharaj, adopted 10 tuberculosis (TB) patients under the Nikshay Mitra initiative on Wednesday.
The adoption was carried out under the Distress Relief Programme of Ramakrishna Math and Mission as part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. By becoming a Nikshay Mitra, the Mission has pledged nutritional and other essential support to the adopted patients during their treatment period.
The District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC), Deomali, expressed gratitude to the Secretary of the Mission for the noble initiative and conveyed hope for continued collaboration in the future to strengthen TB elimination efforts in the region.
