Khonsa, Apr 23: Census publicity materials, including T-shirts and pamphlets, were launched by SDO Khonsa Tana Bapu on Thursday. The programme was organised under the aegis of the Department of Economics & Statistics in collaboration with the Department of Information and Public Relations.
Assistant Director of Economics & Statistics, Nokgen Wangsu, informed that a three-day training programme for enumerators and supervisors concluded on Wednesday. He outlined the phased census process and standard operating procedures, while adding that training was conducted across Khonsa, Borduria, Dadam, Longo, Bari-Basip, Lazu, and Deomali.
SDO Bapu stressed the importance of a smooth and systematic census process, urging officials to carry out their duties with sincerity to ensure accuracy and timely completion. He also appealed to the public to cooperate by providing correct information, describing the census as vital for planning and development.
The programme was attended by Assistant Commissioner Yowa Anya, CO (Dadam) Dr Metung Taku, CO (Longo) Bomyir Dirchi, DIPRO Ponung Tasing, DTO Aman Wangsaham, DF&CSO Bompi Kadu, Superintendent of Tax & Excise Monica Lowang Medam, DMO Dr Bimal Ratan, and other officials. (DIPRO)
