NAMSAI, Apr 25: A library awareness programme was held at the District Library, Namsai on Saturday with the aim of promoting reading habits and advancing the “Reaching to the Unreached” initiative among students and the wider community.
Attending the programme, the chief guest R K Sharma, Commissioner for Planning, Investment & Power, highlighted that as many as 42,678 people visited the library in 2025, marking the highest footfall among all district libraries in Arunachal Pradesh. He commended the library’s services and its role in supporting students and youth in the region.
Retired Commissioner Tape Bagra also spoke on the occasion, encouraging students to make full use of the library to enhance their knowledge, develop skills, and prepare for future challenges.
The programme aligns with ongoing library awareness campaigns in Namsai aimed at inculcating reading habits and connecting students with the district’s modern, automated library facilities.
