Mount Aghae Inclusive School marks 20 years with opening of new facilities

ZIRO, Apr 29: In a heartfelt celebration of two decades of service and resilience, the New Life Foundation has commemorated the 20th Foundation Day of Mount Aghae Inclusive School (MAIS) at its Salang campus in Ziro on Wednesday.

The milestone was marked by inauguration of a new multipurpose hall by Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme and a dedicated physiotherapy room by ZPC Hibu Dumer. The newly added facilities are expected to significantly enhance holistic rehabilitation and support services for differently-abled children in the district.

The programme reflected the institution’s enduring commitment since its establishment in 2005. The celebration featured a soulful rendition of the school song by staff members, along with vibrant cultural performances presented by the students.

Guided by its motto, “Not to be ministered unto, but to minister,” the school continues to function as a community-driven initiative, transforming charitable support into meaningful opportunities for children with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Over the years, Mount Aghae Inclusive School has emerged as a nurturing space focused on empowerment, self-reliance, and inclusive education, reaffirming its role as a beacon of hope for many families in the region.
