Itanagar, Apr 30: Minister for Urban Affairs, Land Management and Civil Aviation, Balo Raja, has called upon the youth to stay away from negative influences and actively contribute to the betterment of society.
Addressing the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Arunachal Youth Organization (AYO) at Dree Ground near here on Thursday, the Minister emphasised that young people must channel their energy into meaningful and constructive activities that benefit the community.
He encouraged the youth to take responsibility in shaping a progressive society and highlighted the importance of discipline, social service, and community engagement.
Balo Raja further suggested that organisations like AYO should take up initiatives such as adopting colonies or sectors and working toward their development, similar to ongoing efforts by civic bodies. He assured that the government would extend full support to such initiatives.
Ward No. 11 Corporator Gora Lotak also attended the programme. Among others present were AYO president Biki Mangmi, organising chairman-cum-general secretary Youchak Takak, organising secretary Nyagam Kadu, and overall in-charge Bei Tach Rotom, along with several members and well-wishers.
