SEPPA/ANINI, May 2: The field enumeration process for the Houselisting and Housing Census 2027 was officially launched in East Kameng district on Friday, following a 15-day self-enumeration window.
The programme was flagged off at the District Secretariat, Seppa, by East Kameng Deputy Commissioner-cum-Principal Census Officer Yashaswini B, marking the commencement of the nationwide exercise at the district level.
Following the launch, the Deputy Commissioner, along with the Census team, conducted field visits to several households in and around Seppa. During the visits, houses were systematically listed and assigned Census Numbers as per the guidelines for Census 2027.
Interacting with residents, DC Yashaswini explained the enumeration process, addressed queries, and highlighted the importance of accurate data collection. Her outreach aimed at raising awareness and ensuring active public participation in the exercise.
The field enumeration will be carried out across the district from May 1 to 30. Officials said the process is crucial for generating reliable data that will aid planning and policy-making at both state and national levels.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to residents to extend full cooperation to enumerators and census officials by providing accurate information and necessary assistance for smooth completion of the exercise.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to conducting the Census 2027 process with efficiency, transparency, and active public involvement.
ANINI: The Dibang Valley District Administration on Saturday formally launched the field enumeration process for the House Listing and Housing Census 2027 at the Circuit House in Anini, marking the commencement of the district-wide exercise.
The programme was ceremonially flagged off by Mandeep Raj, Assistant Director, District Census Office, in the presence of officials and field enumerators. As a symbolic gesture, the enumeration began with the listing of Dibang House, the official residence of the Deputy Commissioner, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Bekir Nyorak.
The enumeration drive, scheduled from May 1 to May 30, will cover the entire Dibang Valley district, reaching every household to compile a comprehensive socio-economic profile. Officials stated that the data collected during this phase will play a crucial role in enabling informed planning, inclusive development, and effective policy-making at both state and national levels.
Additional District Census Officer Tadang Rai appealed to residents to extend full cooperation to enumerators and provide accurate information. He emphasized that public participation is essential to ensure that the exercise reflects the true demographic and socio-economic realities of the district.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency and participatory governance, the district administration has urged citizens to actively take part in the exercise, describing it as a vital step toward shaping the district’s future development trajectory. (DIPROs)
