TAWANG, May 5: The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of 2 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC commenced at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Tawang on Sunday last. The camp is scheduled to be concluded on May 12.
Approximately 500 NCC cadets from the districts of Tawang, East Kameng, West Kameng, and Bichom are participating in the 10-day camp. The primary objective of the CATC is to provide structured training while fostering unity, discipline, and leadership qualities among the cadets.
A comprehensive training programme has been planned for the duration of the camp. Key activities include weapon training, drill, map reading, firing practice, firefighting, and self-defence. In addition, cadets will gain exposure to weapon displays and attend informative sessions on disaster management and life-saving skills.
The camp will also feature a series of central lectures delivered by experienced civil and military personnel. These sessions aim to provide valuable insights into leadership, national security, and community service.
The CATC serves as a significant platform for cadets to enhance their skills, build confidence, and imbibe core values of the National Cadet Corps. (DIPRO)
